It's possible to continue along Gavel Neese to make a direct ascent of Great Gable by climbing the White Napes (Grade 1 scramble) or more easily by Little Hell Gate to the right of it.

However, the Moses Trod path turns half left to make a long rising traverse of the scree slope below the White Napes heading for Beck Head
