Passing the Travellers Rest on Greenside Road. The first objective is to climb to the low point on the horizon between the south east ridge of Heron Pike on the left and the steep slopes of Glenridding Dodd on the right |

Above the Travellers Rest the road divides, the left branch descends to Rattlebeck Bridge, the way ahead continues uphill towards Rake Cottages |
