Binsey - Route Two 



 

Start - Binsey Lodge NY 236 351 Distance - 0.75 mile Ascent - 585 feet Time - 35 minutes


 

 

The walk starts from a lay-by on the lane between Binsey Lodge and Bewaldeth
A gate at the western side of the lay-by gives accesss to a path which initially circles above a grassed over hollow of an old quarry

Wind blown thorn bushes above the old quarry
Past the thorn bushes a wide green path rises through a short section of bracken
Looking back to the start of the walk
Above the bracken is the steepest part of the ascent up an open grass bank, although it's still quite a gentle walk providing beautiful retrospective views

Onwards from the top of the grass bank the slope eases as the vegitation changes to coarser grass and heather
